Ride Leader: Cari Higgins
Cari Higgins is an 11-time U.S. Cycling National Track Champion and is known in the cycling community as a fierce international cycling competitor. From her beginning as a track sprinter in 2006, Cari has emerged as a well rounded cyclist winning multiple National Championship titles in both sprint and endurance track events. Cari has won a total of 17 Elite National Track Championships and 6 medals at the Pan American Track Championships. As a member of the US National Cycling Team, Cari has competed at multiple UCI Track World Cups and UCI Track World Championships around the globe from 2010-2012.
Leading to the London Olympic Games, she was part of the USA Olympic Long Team. Cari is passionate about mentoring and coaching the next generation of successful women cyclists. She played Division I soccer (and a little tennis) in the SEC at the University of Alabama. In 2009, Cari was elected by her peers to be the USA Cycling Athlete Representative to the Board of Trustees and still serves to this day.
